SADIO MANE still reportedly harbours dreams of playing for Real Madrid with the Spanish side being the only club he would leave Liverpool for.

SunSport recently revealed how the winger is a key target for Zinedine Zidane at the end of the season, with the player’s representatives having already been approached for informal talks.

Liverpool star Sadio Mane is believed to be a reported target for Real Madrid

The 28-year-old – who scored against Los Blancos in the 2018 Champions League final – is understood to have been on the radar of Real for quite some time.

According to France Football, it is Real Madrid or nothing for the Senegalese international, who is tied down at Anfield until 2023.

It has been said that he could cost any potential suitor a whopping £131million, though they state the Reds have no intention of selling Mane.

They also claim that Paris Saint-Germain are interested in the forward as a possible replacement for Kylian Mbappe or Neymar, but it has been claimed that Mane will not move to another side unless it is to play for Real.

Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo report that any switch to the Bernabeu could be in doubt due to the Covid-19 crisis.

They state that as a result of the global coronavirus pandemic, clubs have been put in a difficult situation as they do not have the financial power they did have prior to the postponement of the campaign.

MANE MAN

Mane’s international team-mate Keita Balde believes that he won’t stay at Liverpool forever as he talked up a move to Real in an interview with AS.

The Monaco man said: “It depends on many things. I don’t know what his decision is. In a year or two, you may want to change.

“I don’t think he wants to be there forever. He is a smart boy and he knows what is good for him and what he has to do. But in Madrid they are giving out many names.

“The coach loves him very much. He has given a lot to Liverpool and Liverpool to him.

“Something very attractive has to come for him to leave Liverpool. A big team would have to come and promise him many things to think about it.

“He’s a great boy. He deserves the best. He is humble and nobody has given him anything. He deserves to be where he is today.”

Meanwhile former Liverpool midfielder Momo Sissoko believes he will soon sign for Real, as he told EuropaCalcio: “I see Mane at Real Madrid [more than Mohamed Salah].

“He [Mane] has the characteristics Zidane wants… I think Mane will go to Real Madrid.”
