Sheffield United Eye Loan Market for New Goalkeeper Amid Kasper Schmeichel Transfer Speculation

Blades Boss Chris Wilder Looks to Loan Market for Rest for No. 1 Wes Foderingham

Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder is on the hunt for a new goalkeeper and is ready to turn to the loan market for a potential signing. The Blades are looking to give their current No. 1, Wes Foderingham, a break during a tough season.

Kasper Schmeichel Emerges as Potential Target

Recent reports have linked Sheffield United with a move for former Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel. The 37-year-old, who won the Premier League title and FA Cup with the Foxes, has made over 270 top-flight appearances during his career.

Other Potential Loan Signings Being Considered

In addition to Schmeichel, Sheffield United is exploring the possibility of temporary deals with overseas players who are interested in showcasing their skills in the English game. The club is also considering ending defender Luke Thomas' season-long loan early, depending on the fitness of left-back Max Lowe.

Plans to Cash in on Daniel Jebbison May Be Thwarted

The Blades had previously considered selling young striker Daniel Jebbison but may have to put those plans on hold due to a hamstring injury that has kept him out of action this season.
