The Gunners were pegged back by a David McGoldrick minutes from time after Nicolas Pepe opened the scoring from the spot for the visitors, before on-loan midfielder Dani Ceballos struck the winner.
The Blades’ poor form since football returned continues, while Arsenal will find out their opponents in the last four later this afternoon.
