SHREWSBURY TOWN striker Ryan Bowman has announced his heart surgery was a success.
The star hit the headlines when he was raced to hospital on October 9 after coming off against Ipswich holding his stomach and chest.

Doctors at Portman Road for the League One clash had to shock his heart back into a beat.
Over the following days it emerged that it was not the first time Bowman had suffered a heart issue.
However, the previous occasion was a lot less serious than when the 30-year-old was forced off after 35 minutes earlier this season and taken to Ipswich Hospital.
Bowman complained of heart palpitations with his heart said to be racing at 250bpm.

Fortunately for him he was then given the all-clear to keep playing.
And the brave ace went on to finish the campaign with 13 goals in 47 games for the Shrews.
But now the season has ended, Bowman has returned to hospital to undergo an op on his heart.
He took to Twitter to reveal that the surgery was a success and posted a snap of himself from his hospital bed.
Along with a clapping emoji, he captioned it: “Heart operation was a success.”
The upcoming League One season will begin on the weekend of July 30 and 31.
It remains to be seen whether he will be fit enough to return to action for the start of pre-season training for Steve Cotterill’s side.
