Sky Sports hilariously troll Roy Keane after he gives rare praise to Man Utd star.. months after wanting to ‘SHAKE’ him

ROY KEANE has been trolled by Sky Sports after finally giving one Manchester United player some praise.

The Irishman has become must-see TV for his rants and raves while sat in the Sky studio on a Sunday afternoon.

Roy Keane has been brutally honest on Fred

After watching the Red Devils beat Leeds United 4-2 yesterday, however, he was full of positivity – even towards Fred.

Eyebrows were raised in the 67th minute, when boss Ralf Rangnick replaced Paul Pogba with the Brazilian with the score tied at two-apiece.

But he made an immediate impact scoring just three minutes later and setting his side on the path to victory.

After the match, Keane said: “It’s them little details, comes from a little bit of confidence, getting a little bit of a swagger back.

“And it’s nice to see because he’s got heavily criticised. And to be fair, Fred’s improved in the last few months.”

Keane then admitted that the midfielder had been under microscope, although joked it was his namesake Robbie to blame.

He added: “Fred’s been criticised yeah… by Robbie.

“Again he’s adding a couple of goals to his game, a couple of assists… about time for him.”

The Sky Sports Premier League Twitter account then teased Keane by writing ‘a lot can change in three months’ as they posted a clip of the 50-year-old berating Fred in November.

After the 2-0 defeat to Manchester City, Keane said: “Fred. Fred’s playing for Manchester United. Fred!

“Anyone who tells me Fred is good enough for Manchester United… I’ve said it before is living in cuckoo land – and that is an important part of the football pitch.”

The next clip showed him saying: “If Ole walked in here now I’d grab him and say ‘why are you playing Fred?’

“For all managers have to make their own decisions, they’re working with the players day-in and day-out…

“I would look at him and go ‘why are you playing Fred in the middle of the park?’

“Huge position for Manchester United.”

Yesterday’s win saw Fred and Co create a four point gap between themselves and fifth-placed West Ham in the table.

Arsenal, Wolves and Tottenham, however, all possess games in hand that could see them rise above the Red Devils in the coming months.
