Struggling Prem pair Kean and Cutrone eyed by Bologna as alternative to mega Zlatan Ibrahimovic transfer

SERIE A side Bologna have made initial contact with Moise Kean and Patrick Cutrone, according to reports in Italy.

The Everton and Wolves forwards both left Calcio for the Premier League in the summer but are yet to set English football alight.

Wolves have restricted Cutrone, 21, to a bit part player

According to La Repubblica, Bologna are in the race to sign Zlatan Ibrahimovic but have a couple of alternatives in mind.

Everton spent around 30million to sign teenager Kean from Juventus after he scored seven goals in a headline making breakout season with the Turin giants.

However he is yet to hit the back of the net for the Toffees, 13 games into his career at the club.

Countryman Cutrone is another who was reportedly contacted in recent days as the Emilia-Romagna side gauged their options.

Just three Premier League starts have been afforded the striker amid the duopoly of Raul Jimenez and Diogo Jota up front at Wolves.

It is said both Cutrone and Kean would be willing to consider a move back to Italy if it meant being a star player in their home league.

But Bologna remain linked with Swedish ace Ibrahimovic.

Club director Walter Sabatini admitted on Monday that the deal looked unlikely, stating: “He has made other choices.”

A return to AC Milan has also been in the offing for the striker but agent Mino Raiola also cast doubt on that eventuality.

He told La Gazzetta dello Sport: “Its not been said that he will necessarily return to Italy.”
