CHELSEA centre-back Antonio Rudiger has urged his team-mates to take more risks if they wish to end their slump and get back in a title race.
The Blues have fell from first to third in recent weeks after picking up just one win out of their last four Premier League games.
They now trail leaders Manchester City by six points going into their Boxing Day clash away at Aston Villa.
Chelsea have drawn their last two fixtures in the top-flight against Everton and Wolves.
And their stalemate at Molineux led Rudiger to declare he isn’t happy with their poor form, despite the West London outfit hit by a Covid in the build-up to the match.
He told Chelsea’s website: “You know our situation, but that point feels like a loss to be honest.
“It doesn’t matter about the circumstances and everything. It doesn’t feel good.
“Yes of course it is not easy [preparing in our current circumstances], definitely not. We still had a competitive team out there to do something.

“We came to win. We should have provided more chances to score, and if you don’t bury your chances it’s difficult to win away.
“The first half was very tough for us, they were controlling the game without looking dangerous.
“We didn’t have the chances to be honest. The second half we had a good uplift. But we have to do more, take more risk. We cannot be happy with this point looking at the table.”
Rudiger, who is in the final year of his contract at Stamford Bridge, has been backed to join Manchester United next summer.
Former Red Devils star Paul Parker believes the Germany international would be a perfect fit at Old Trafford.
He told bettingexpert: “If he was to stay at Chelsea. He’s very influential and the fans idolise him.
“To come to Manchester United, I would say that is ambitious. I would understand why he would want to and I think he would make a difference.
“If you had him next to Varane, what a difference you’re talking about. Good pace and you’re talking about someone who’s won a World Cup, Champions League and then you’ve got a centre-half, who in the old-school way of talking is actually a leader.”
Parker added: “He actually shouts and screams, bosses people about, dictates the people.
“When people aren’t doing it, he tells them because he doesn’t make that many mistakes himself. He keeps things simple. He’d be absolutely perfect.”
