Thomas Muller gives Newcastle and Everton transfer hope by revealing Bayern have not spoken to him about new deal

THOMAS MULLER has given Newcastle and Everton hope after he revealed that Bayern Munich have not spoken to him about a new contract.

The 32-year-old has a contract at his boyhood club until the summer of 2023.

Muller has revealed that Bayern have not opened talks over renewing his contract

And although Bayern are in talks over extending Manuel Neuer and Robert Lewandowski’s stay in Munich past next year, Muller surprisingly hasn’t been approached.

He revealed to Bild: “No one has ever approached me from the club. So you have to see what the future will bring.”

In the event Muller does leave Bayern he wouldn’t be short of suitors, especially from the Premier League.

Everton and Newcastle are reportedly interested in signing the midfielder with 508 goal contributions in professional club football.

Newly mega rich Newcastle certainly have the finances to match Muller’s ambition.

On a potential move abroad, Muller said: “What appeals to me most is sporting success and football at the highest level.”

A move this summer doesn’t look likely though, with Muller stating his intention to keep his partnership with Lewandowski going.

The 110-cap Germany concluded saying: “Anything is possible in football.

“But it would certainly be surprising given how well things are going for everyone involved. “
