Thomas Partey set for shock Arsenal exit with two teams lining up transfer for midfielder

ARSENAL are open to selling Thomas Partey this summer, according to reports.

The Gunners are looking to upgrade their midfield after missing out on the Premier League title to Manchester City.

Thomas Partey could be sold amid interest from two Italian clubs

Partey’s sale could help fund a move for Moises Caicedo

The likes of Declan Rice and Moises Caicedo continue to be linked and their arrivals could mean some players have to leave.

Partey, 30, has two years left on his contract but could be sold amid interest from two Italian clubs, report The Times.

The Ghana international impressed for large parts of the season but his performances declined in the latter stages.

And that means Mikel Arteta could be ready to say goodbye – if he gets a deal across the line for Caicedo.

The Brighton star has similar attributes to Partey and is a player Arsenal have wanted since January.

Caicedo has reportedly agreed terms with the Gunners despite interest from Chelsea and Liverpool.

But the 21-year-old’s asking price is said to be well in excess of the £70million Arsenal bid for him in the previous transfer window.

SunSport revealed Rice also has his heart set on a switch to The Emirates.

West Ham will demand a British-record £110million fee for Rice, and Partey’s sale could help fund such a move.

Granit Xhaka could also leave with Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich interested in the fan favourite.
