Top ten fastest Premier League stars this season revealed and new Chelsea signing Mudryk is pipped to first place

CHELSEA star Mykhailo Mudryk is worth £98million but he has been beaten in the speed stakes by a lesser-known Premier League star.

The Ukrainian arrived at Stamford Bridge in January and it did not take him long to showcase his blistering pace.

Mudryk broke the Prem speed record in his debut against Liverpool

Johnson has since pipped Mudryk to top spot

He set a record for the fastest speed in the Prem this season in his debut against Liverpool, despite spending just 20 minutes on the pitch.

Mudryk, 22, clocked in at an astonishing 36.3km/h, per Squawka – beating the previous quickest speed of Anthony Gordon by 0.2.

But the winger has since been usurped by Nottingham Forest star Brennan Johnson, who boasts a top speed of 36.7km/h.

Johnson is a newcomer to the top flight having been promoted with Forest last season, but he has impressed with seven goals in 27 games.

Meanwhile, Kieran Tierney is the only defender to make the top ten list with a speed of 35.99km/h.

He just pips his Arsenal team-mate Gabriel Martinelli to eighth place, meaning the Gunners have the fastest left flank in the Prem.

Manchester United hitman Marcus Rashford is the fourth British player on the list, rounding off the top ten after recording a speed of 35.81km/h.

The rest of the list is made up of players who arrived in the Premier League last summer.

Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez is in fourth place, narrowly beating Wolves star Matheus Nunes.

And Prem top scorer Erling Haaland is sixth with a speed of 36.22km/h.

Chelsea also have another player in the top ten – loan midfielder Dennis Zakaria, who has experienced his fair share of injuries this term.
