Tottenham deadly pair Harry Kane and Son Heung-min closing in on Premier League record for most lethal strike duo EVER

TOTTENHAM duo Harry Kane and Son Heung-min are close to breaking an incredible Premier League record.

On Monday night, the Spurs pals combined to score the winner against Burnley.

Kane and Son are close to becoming the most-prolific duo in PL history
Kane and Son are currently the second most-lethal PL duo ever

Kane brilliantly headed on a cross from Erik Lamela into the path of Son to nod home and seal all three points.

Famed for his incredible shooting, Kane’s creativity this season has become a real talking point.

In a scarcely-believable purple patch, the England captain has set up SEVEN Son goals this season alone.

And Son has returned the favour on two occasions too, meaning the pair have set up nine goals for each other in 2020-21 already.

Those nine goals have seen them leap up to SECOND in the standings for the most prolific partners in Premier League history.

After combining to score in the 1-0 win over Burnley, Kane and Son drew level with Arsenal legends Robert Pires and Thierry Henry as well as Manchester City duo David Silva and Sergio Aguero.

All three double-acts combined for 29 goals while together – with Kane and Son almost-certain to overtake them this season.

In their recent run of hot form, the Tottenham pair overtook another Spurs tandem: Teddy Sheringham and Darren Anderton (27 goals).

Drogba and Lampard currently hold the record with 36 goal combinations

Next in their sights will be iconic Chelsea duo Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba.

The Blues legends combined to score 36 Premier League goals during their time together at Stamford Bridge.

Having already teamed-up to score nine goals this season, Kane and Son will be confident in surpassing that tally before the end of the 2020-21 season.

Next up in the Premier League for Tottenham are Brighton on Sunday November 1.
