Watch Arsenal icon, 38, roll back years with amazing goal in testimonial as fans say ‘he will still bench Fabio Vieira’

ARSENAL icon Santi Cazorla rolled back the years with an amazing goal in a testimonial.

And some fans reckon he would “still bench Fabio Vieira” despite being 38 years old.

Santi Cazorla rolled back the years with an amazing goal in Joaquin’s testimonial

Cazorla showed he’s still got it with a brilliant solo strike

Cazorla scored 29 goals in 180 games for Arsenal over a six-year period between 2012 and 2018.

He became a favourite among supporters by leading the Gunners to two FA Cups.

But Cazorla’s time at the Emirates was cut short after undergoing skin graft surgery to save his leg following EIGHT operations on an Achilles tendon.

The ace ended up returning to football with boyhood club Villarreal.

And he is now in his third season with Qatari giants Al-Sadd.

But despite nearing his 40s, Cazorla is showing no signs of slowing down.

The veteran took part in a testimonial for Real Betis legend Joaquin, 41, last night.

Cazorla lined up on a Spanish All-Stars team featuring icons like Raul, Sergio Ramos and Iker Casillas.

Some fans reckon Cazorla would still bench the likes of Fabio Vieira

And even though his side lost 6-4 to Betis, Cazorla opened the scoring with a world-class strike in the 27th minute.

The midfielder picked the ball up on the edge of the penalty area before dancing around several defenders.

Cazorla then feinted a shot as the goalie leaned to his right.

And it allowed the ex-Gunners to delicately tap the ball in the opposite side of the net.

Arsenal fans couldn’t believe Cazorla was still producing such silky skills at his age.

And some even reckoned he would still get in the team ahead of much younger men like Fabio Vieira.

One said: “This man will still bench Fabio Vieira no cap.”

Another declared: “Imagine him in this team now.”

One noted: “Football is too easy for players like Cazorla.”

Another added: “Probably one of the best, most underrated ballers to ever play the game.”
