CHELSEA keeper Edouard Mendy left fans stunned after footage of his intense warm-up routine emerged.
The Senegalese is in imperious form for the table-topping Blues and fans think they know why after seeing the clip.
Mendy, 29, was relatively unknown when the West Londoners signed him for £22million from Rennes to replace Kepa in September 2020.
But he has taken the Premier League by storm and is now considered one of the best stoppers in Europe.
Mendy is admired for his agility and shot stopping.
And a video of him preparing for Chelsea’s 3-0 win at Newcastle on October 30 shows the levels required to make it.
The vigorous routine saw a Blues goalkeeping coach blasting balls either side of Mendy who was getting down to save before springing up to face another effort.
In the next clip, Mendy could be seen on the floor working his core muscles as he caught balls either side of him before throwing them back.

He has kept nine clean sheets from 15 games this season.
And fans were well impressed by his match prep.
One wrote: “The best in the world right now, not ONE OF!
“If the likes of Allisson, Oblak were having such a season no one would have put an asterisk on crowning them best.”
