JOEL MATIP incurred Jordan Henderson’s wrath at the San Siro on Wednesday night after he playfully slapped the Liverpool skipper on the head.
The Reds centre-back, who was an unused substitute in the club’s 2-0 win against Inter Milan, celebrated Roberto Firmino’s opener by giving Henderson a gentle tap.
But the Liverpool skipper didn’t see the funny side of the light whack as he turned around to give the Cameroonian a menacing death stare.
Matip also tapped the heads off Firmino and Luis Diaz while standing on the touchline, but it was only Henderson that was left unimpressed over the incident.
Unsurprisingly, social media was sent into a meltdown following the England international’s reaction.
One user tweeted: “I rewound this in the game and watched it about five times, couldn’t stop laughing.”
Another commented: “The genuinely confused look on Hendo’s face is everything.”
A third added: “It gets funnier every time you watch it.”

Meanwhile this supporter stated: “This is the funniest video I have ever seen.”
Another said: “Nah it’s almost 3am and I’m still tickled by this.”
Shortly after Firmino’s goal, Mohamed Salah doubled Liverpool’s lead in the 83rd minute to all-but confirm the club’s passage into the Champions League quarter-finals.
But boss Jurgen Klopp has warned the Merseyside outfit to avoid complacency in the return leg at Anfield.
Speaking after the match, the German gaffer said: “It is still dangerous, It is only half-time. We don’t feel like we are halfway through. We will have to be ready for it.
“They are good – really good! 2-0 feels like a proper half-time. I don’t say ‘job done, put your legs on the table.’ Why should I think different about it now?
“We defended really well – the way that we like to win the ball. You have to defend with passion and organisation.
“It was really strong challenge (from Inter) but it would be silly if you didn’t defend well. It means a lot to us, this competition, and we want to do well in it.
“This is a difficult place to come. They are a very, very confident opponent. They played real smart balls, they have this deep last line and in the beginning we did very well.
“I was not surprised – they are good. We know that. We have to be ready for the second half.”
