AN American footy fan likened Christian Pulisic to Lionel Messi and even LeBron James when trying to flog a shirt signed by the Chelsea ace.
The winger is held in incredibly high regard by supporters in his homeland, as one of their highest profile players ever.

Christian Pulisic has struggled for action this season
But when trying to sell a signed Pulisic Chelsea jersey for around £1,130, the fan went a little overboard.
Appearing on the TV show Pawn Stars, host Corey Harrison said: “This guy’s like the phenom guy, right? The LeBron James of soccer?”
To which the wannabe entrepreneur responded: “Definitely.”
He then added: “I’m at the pawn shop today to try and sell my signed Christian Pulisic jersey.
“I’m a huge soccer fan, and even more so a Christian Pulisic fan.”

Despite being such a big fan, he didn’t seem to know all that much about him.
Asked by Harrison what position the Chelsea ace plays, he said: “He plays centre-midfield, and sometimes centre-forward.”
He then added: “He’s one of the top players in the Premier League which, for an American, is pretty few and far between.
“He’s probably one of the most watched on the Chelsea team.”

The show then brought an ‘expert’ in to judge the shirt, with its owner looking for around £1,130 to sell it.
After being summoned the ‘expert’ said: “Christian Pulisic is one of the finest soccer players, or football players, in the world and he plays in England, plays for Chelsea.
“The kid’s 22-years-old, so you imagine the talent this guy has.
“We think of guys like Messi or Ronaldo – this kid’s already being compared to all them.”
Despite these lofty comparisons, Pulisic doesn’t quite have the body of work to match up.
He has struggled to stay fit this season, starting just four Premier League games.
In 12 appearances in total this term, he has managed two goals and one assist.

Fans in the UK couldn’t believe what they were watching.
One joked: “Christian Pulisic plays for the English soccer team Chelseashire FC United. A stalwart at the heart of the Chelsea midfield, Pulisic is widely considered the greatest player in the Premier League and is often compared to Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.”
Another had a rather different comparison for Pulisic: “$1500 for a signed American Alex Iwobi jersey?”
