Watch Virgil Van Dijk shoo BT Sport pundits away so Liverpool star can warm-up ahead of clash at Nottingham Forest

VIRGIL VAN DIJK told Rio Ferdinand and Peter Crouch to get out of the way during Liverpool’s warm-up for their clash with Nottingham Forest.

BT Sport were covering the early kick-off at the City Ground as Ferdinand, Crouch and Rachel Brown-Finnis joined presenter Lynsey Hipgrave as part of the TV coverage.

Van Dijk told the pundits to move away from their side of the pitch

Ferdinand saw Van Dijk ushering them away and duly obliged

The quartet made their way out to the centre circle shortly before the match as both teams prepared on the pitch.

But Van Dijk was left less than impressed by the pundits encroaching on their warm-up space.

As the Dutchman and fellow centre-back Joe Gomez lined up for a heading drill, Van Dijk urged those in front of the cameras to move back.

They promptly did so, with Ferdinand responding: “Virgil wants us to move up a little bit. Let’s move up a little bit guys. Centre-halves doing their work.”

Crouch then hilariously quipped: “They can do that anywhere really, can’t they?”

To which Ferdinand replied: “Crouchy, just go up and lay one on him.”

Crouch quickly shut that idea down, adding: “He’s dominated me a few times, I’ll be honest!”

Liverpool come into the match against Forest off the back of three straight wins in all competitions.

They followed up a 7-1 thrashing of Rangers in the Champions League with a superb 1-0 victory over Manchester City.

And they then edged past West Ham on Wednesday thanks to a Darwin Nunez goal.

A win over Forest would take Jurgen Klopp‘s side up to fifth and within one point of a place in the top four.
