WAYNE HENNESSEY is waiting to find out if he will start for Burnley this season or needs a loan move to help his Wales World Cup bid.
The Clarets keeper, 35, played just three times for his club last season.
Wayne Hennessey was a bench-warmer for the majority of the 2021-22 season with Burnley
But he was a hero after helping his country qualify for the finals for the first time in 64 years.
The ex-Palace stopper was given the nod to play in the play-off final over Ukraine last month, which Wales won 1-0.
Leicester’s reserve stopper Danny Ward is the usual No1 for Rob Page.
Both Hennessey and fellow veteran John Ruddy, who has left Wolves, are in the frame for a move to Nottingham Forest as cover for Dean Henderson.
New Burnley boss Vincent Kompany is looking to land a new keeper to replace Nick Pope and will only let Hennessey leave if he brings one in.
Pope followed Chris Wood by joining mega-rich Newcastle.
Meanwhile, Kompany is lining up an ambitious move for Coventry playmaker Callum O’Hare.
The Clarets are keen on the 24-year-old and could make a formal move if they sell Dwight McNeil.
And Kompany is willing to offer top money to the former Aston Villa prospect in a bid to see off rival interest.
As revealed by SunSport, Palace chief Patrick Vieira wants to land winger McNeil this summer.
West Ham also admire the 22-year-old but the Clarets are likely to want more than the £10m the London clubs would be ready to pay.
