HARRY MAGUIRE has rubbished reports he is locked in a Manchester United power struggle with Cristiano Ronaldo.
Reports suggest the pair are feuding over who should take the captain’s armband for the rest of the season.
Maguire was made permanent skipper back in January 2020 but has come in for heavy criticism for his performances this term.
And the Mirror reports club legend Ronaldo wants the armband as the Red Devils battle to finish inside the top four.
Now Maguire has taken to Twitter to brand the claims as false and insist the dressing room is focused on Sunday’s clash with Leeds.
He wrote: I’ve seen a lot of reports about this club that aren’t true and this is another.
“Not going to start posting about everything that is written but I needed to make this one clear. We’re united and focused on Sunday. Enjoy your day everyone.”

But things have soured since his goalscoring return to the famous No7 jersey and the 37-year-old has been outspoken in his criticism of United’s current crop of players.

That followed three consecutive 1-1 draws that saw them dumped out of the FA Cup and temporarily slip outside the Champions League qualifying spots.

Rangnick has reportedly told Maguire he has to improve, while other stories claim Ronaldo’s ‘clique’ are winding up their team-mates in training.
