WEST HAM are reportedly in discussions to terminate Jack Wilshere’s contract.
The England midfielder signed for the club in 2018 but has failed to get over the injury problems that plagued his time at Arsenal.
A groin injury plagued Wilshere’s 2019/20 campaign yet, when finally fit after the coronavirus shutdown, he struggled to break into David Moyes’ team.
Now, according to the Mail, talks are underway between player and club over an early end to his contract.
Wilshere still has ten months to run on his £100,000-a-week deal but he could soon leave by mutual consent.

It follows reports of West Ham being willing to pay a portion of the 28-year-old’s wages should a club want to sign him during the autumn window.
However, no buyers have come forward and the Hammers are considering fresh methods to reduce their wage bill.
The cash-strapped club received huge criticism from its own fans and players for letting Grady Diangana leave for West Brom.
Wilshere himself sent a message to the young winger after the £18million sale, reading: “Go and do your thing in a club that respects you, big player with a big future.”
But a quiet window has been blamed on a lack of offers for unwanted stars, with at least two defenders sought by Moyes.
Wilshere has failed to impress in pre-season with the Hammers receiving a 5-3 hammering by Bournemouth in their final friendly before hosting Newcastle in the Premier League on Saturday.
Boss Moyes kept the midfielder on his bench as West Ham strolled clear of relegation post-restart, only bringing him on twice in nine games.
In April, Wilshere admitted to Stadium Astro: “[The move] hasn’t worked out for me, I’ll be honest.
“It hasn’t gone the way I wanted it to, I’ve missed too much football, I haven’t played enough games.
“I want to get back on track, get my career back on track, get playing games week-in, week-out and start to feel like a footballer again.”
