Christensen was forced off at half time of Chelsea’s 2-0 loss to Man Utd on Monday after being caught by a stray elbow from Anthony Martial.
The injury was later confirmed as a broken nose.
However, the Dane was back in training on Friday after taking a trip to Milan to get a face mask fitted.
This will ensure that his nose is protected for the game against Tottenham, which he has been selected to start in.
And Christensen will be in good company, after following a long line of Chelsea stars to don masks or protective head gear for matches.
Petr Cech, Paulo Ferreira, John Terry, Gary Cahill, Cesar Azplicueta, Nemanja Matic, Ramires, Cesc Fabregas, Demba Ba, Fernando Torres, Diego Costa and Pedro have all previously represented the Blues with protective face wear.
Christensen partners Reece James and Antonio Rudiger in the Blues’ back three for Tottenham.
