WOLVES have reportedly been offered the chance to sign Brazilian forward Hulk on a free transfer to stand in for the injured Raul Jimenez.
The Mexican international is facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines after having surgery on a fractured skull following his horror collision with Arsenal’s David Luiz.
And they could turn to Hulk, who has departed Chinese Super League side Shanghai SIPG having been at the club since 2016.
A move to the Premier League could be on the cards for the ex-Zenit Saint Petersburg star who has never played in any of Europe’s top five leagues.
According to Football Insider, the 34-year-old has been offered to Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.
They claim that the 2013 Confederations Cup winner would be interested in plying his trade in the English top-flight.
But any potential deal rests on how much Hulk is willing to pocket at Molineux having raked in £385,000-a-week in China.
Portuguese news outlet Record have claimed that the forward is willing to take a whopping 90 per cent wage cut for his next club.
This would mean he is now willing to earn a more modest £48k-a-week, a sum of money that should be more than reasonable for Wolves.
Hulk has already revealed that he is attracting interest from England as a host of clubs look to bring him back to Europe.
He said: “I am listening to many proposals from Brazil and many places including in Europe.
“[I have offers from] Turkey, Portugal, England, Spain, Italy, Germany – and I also have an offer from China.
“Every day more new proposals arrive.”
Wolves are understood to be in competition with Porto in the race to secure Hulk’s services.
Hulk spent four years with the Primeira Liga outfit – scoring 77 goals in 169 games in all competitions.
He won multiple league titles during his stay, while he also helped the club beat Braga in the 2011 Europa League final.
