‘Worst ever cameo’ – Ziyech is slammed by Chelsea fans for disastrous display in shock 1-0 defeat to Dinamo Zagreb

HAKIM ZIYECH has been slated by Chelsea fans for his performance in the 1-0 loss against Dinamo Zagreb with fans describing it as the “worst ever cameo”.

The 29-year-old came on as a substitute at the start of the second half for Cesar Azpilicueta, but struggled to make any impact in the shock Champions League group stage defeat.

Chelsea attacking midfielder Hakim Ziyech failed to impress in the 1-0 defeat to Dinamo Zagreb

Ziyech failed to create a single chance for the visitors in Croatia, while he was dispossessed off the ball a whopping 16 times.

To make matters worse, he didn’t complete any of his four dribble attempts and nine crosses.

It was a display that typified why the Blues were keen to offload him in the summer.

Chelsea supporters were quick to criticise the attacking midfielder on social media, as one Twitter user said: “One of the worst cameos in the history of football from Ziyech.”

Another remarked: “CONGRATULATIONS HAKIM ZIYECH. You have taken the award off Bakayoko vs Watford for the worst ever cameo in the history of the club.”

A third added: “Ziyech with possibly one of the worst performances ever seen from a Chelsea player. The rest of his team-mates close behind.”

This fan commented: “Ziyech played like someone who was trying to pass a message that he should have been allowed to leave.”

One then messaged: “This Ziyech cameo is the worst of any player of all time I’m crying.”

Another tweeted: “Ziyech with a hall of shame stinker btw. Never seen anything like it. Bro didn’t even start but was the worst player somehow.”

Meanwhile another simply stated: “This Ziyech disasterclass….”

Even Arsenal legend Martin Keown was stumped by his outing, as he stated he looked like a different player.

Speaking on BT Sport, he said: “Ziyech is just out of sorts.

“He knows that. We saw him play at Ajax, he was quite brilliant.

“He’s a shadow of his former self tonight.”
