Yaya Toure’s ultimate team has six strikers in it, including Messi, Henry, Aguero, Eto’o and Drogba

YAYA TOURE once packed SIX forwards into his “ultimate team” on Monday Night Football, leaving Twitter users in hysterics.

The 35-year-old Ivorian appeared as a guest on the show in 2019 when Manchester City took on Wolves.

Yaya Toure’s ultimate XI bemused fans on social media

The Citizens feared their former player’s appearance in the Sky Sports studio because of the tumultuous history between Toure and Pep Guardiola.

The Ivorian fell out with the 49-year-old Spaniard at Barcelona before his move to the Etihad in 2010, and even accused him of racism after their reunion in Manchester.

But instead of sparking controversy, Toure left viewers amused with his “ultimate team” selection – featuring the best players he has ever shared the pitch with.

The Man City legend opted for a 3-1-6 formation made of six forwards and only one midfielder.

He selected six former Barcelona team-mates, four Manchester City players and Ivory Coast’s Didier Drogba.

Interestingly, Toure omitted Xavi or Ronaldinho in his selection but picked Lionel Messi, Sergio Aguero, and Thierry Henry.

Iniesta is the only midfielder making the cut, while the back three consists of Vincent Kompany, Rafa Marquez and Carles Puyol.

And fans on social media were quick to mock the Ivorian.

TWITTER REACTION

One, @Garehh_, wrote: “Yaya Toure’s ultimate team is literally stupid. It defies belief that he tried to justify this team as an actual starting XI.”

While @DubulDee wrote: “By the looks of that fantasy team, Yaya Toure would be a fun manager.”

And “Istanbulous05 added: “Yaya Toure’s team is beyond mental. Ossie Ardiles would be proud.”

Toure is currently playing for Chinese Super League club Qingdao Huanghai.

He won three Premier League titles with City between 2010 and 2018, scoring 79 goals in 316 games for the club.
