AlphaTauri Driver Yuki Tsunoda Forced to Abandon Italian Grand Prix After Crash

The Italian Grand Prix got off to a rocky start when AlphaTauri driver, Yuki Tsunoda, crashed during the formation lap. The race had to be delayed for twenty minutes as Tsunoda's car was removed from the circuit. It is believed that the Japanese driver experienced an engine failure, which caused smoke to billow out from his car as he pulled onto the grass.

Fans Show Support for Tsunoda

Racing fans expressed sympathy for Tsunoda, who was supposed to start the race in 11th place on the grid. One viewer commented, "Not the best start… race hasn't even started. He deserves better than this." Another fan added, "Feel so bad for Yuki." A third fan vented their frustration, "…he does not have the car or the luck to back it up. How come the Honda engine fails in his car but never in Max's?"

Delayed Start and Race Distance Reduction

After Tsunoda's car was removed, the race finally began 20 minutes later than scheduled, following a second formation lap. To make up for lost time, the race distance was reduced by two laps.

Carlos Sainz Takes the Lead

Carlos Sainz had a quick start and took the lead in the race, followed by Max Verstappen. Sainz successfully defended his pole position for Ferrari.
