Tragedy at the Bellagio
A construction worker tragically lost his life while working at the Bellagio fountains on the Las Vegas Strip. The worker suffered a major laceration to the neck and was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
Investigation underway
Metro Police were called to the scene and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration will be leading the investigation into the incident. Further details have yet to be released to the public.
Vegas Grand Prix circuit
The Vegas Grand Prix circuit, which will wind its way through downtown Las Vegas and pass major landmarks such as Caesars Palace and the Bellagio, is currently under construction. The 3.8-mile track will cost around $560 million to build and is scheduled to host the race on Sunday, November 19.
The return of the Grand Prix
This will be the city's third time hosting a Grand Prix, with previous races taking place in 1981 and 1982. The circuit will feature fourteen corners and a multi-story paddock building costing $480 million.
