F1 legend Eddie Jordan has two potential replacements in mind for Sergio Perez at Red Bull

Who could fill Perez's seat?

Formula One veteran Eddie Jordan has suggested two drivers who could potentially replace Sergio Perez at Red Bull. Perez's contract expires at the end of the 2024 season, and Red Bull boss Christian Horner has expressed interest in exploring new driver options.

Meet Liam Lawson

Jordan named Liam Lawson as one of the possible replacements for Perez. The 21-year-old made his F1 debut this month, standing in for injured Daniel Ricciardo at Red Bull's sister team, AlphaTauri. Lawson's performance in Singapore, where he finished ninth, was one of the team's best this season. Despite not securing a permanent seat for next season, Jordan believes that Lawson has what it takes to be a perfect fit for Red Bull. He praised Lawson's consistency and ability to score points despite being in a car that shouldn't be competitive.

The dark horse: Oscar Piastri

Jordan also mentioned Oscar Piastri as a driver to consider. The former team owner commended McLaren for securing Piastri's signature until 2026, highlighting his potential and predicting that he will become a highly sought-after driver. If Jordan were in charge of Red Bull, Piastri would be his top choice to replace Perez.

Both Lawson and Piastri bring youth and promise to the table, making them strong contenders for the seat.
