F1 star Max Verstappen goes public with model Kelly Piquet – the ex-girlfriend of Red Bull rival he replaced

MAX VERSTAPPEN replaced Daniil Kvyat for Red Bull – and now he’s dating his ex-girlfriend.

The Formula 1 star confirmed his relationship with stunning model Kelly Piquet on Instagram.

The relationship has now been made Instagram official

Piquet is the daughter of legendary three-time F1 world champion Nelson Piquet.

She dated Kvyat for three years before their relationship came to an end in 2019.

The model, who was born in Germany, has one child with the 26-year-old Russian driver.

But the 32-year-old is now dating Verstappen – who took Kvyat’s spot at Red Bull in 2016.

Verstappen, 23, confirmed the relationship as she shared a picture of them together to Instagram.

In the snap shared with his 3.9m followers, the pair can be seen cuddling up to each other in the beach.

The caption read: “Happy New Year everyone. Let’s make 2021 a year to remember in many ways. Wish you all success, love and happiness just as I found mine.”

Piquet simply commented a love heart emoji on Verstappen’s snap.

She also shared a snap with the Formula 1 star alongside a heartfelt caption.

It read: “Love is what makes the world go round. Happy new year and much love.”

Verstappen – who split from long-term partner Dilara Sanlik in October – made his F1 debut in 2015.

He then pinched Kvyat’s spot at Red Bull just one year later, which came as a shock to the Russian.

Kyvat received the phone call just as he sat down to watch an episode of Game of Thrones.

Speaking at the time, he said: “We had 20 minutes of talking and I wanted to have an explanation.

“I got to know many interesting details but I’ll keep it to myself for now.

“We finished the call and I went back to finish my TV series.”
