Kika, 19, will be cheering on Pierre, 26, at Sunday’s race but his road to success will not be easy.
The Alpha Tauri driver is going into the penultimate race of the year with just two points off a ban.
He said: “I’m not going to lie.
“It’s a very unpleasant situation and is quite delicate and, in some ways, quite embarrassing.
“To be standing in a position where I could be banned after the season I have done.
“I don’t really feel I have been particularly dangerous over these last 12 months — and that would be definitely a harsh penalty.”
