Horrifying Moment Moto GP World Champion Thrown from Bike and Run Over by Two Rivals Before Being Rushed to the Hospital

Moto GP champion Francesco Bagnaia was involved in a terrifying incident during the Catalan GP that left him injured and rushed to the hospital. Bagnaia was thrown from his bike in the first lap of the race, which he was leading at the time.

In a shocking turn of events, Bagnaia was not only thrown from his bike but was also run over by two of his rivals. Despite their best efforts to avoid him, the two competitors could not avoid the collision.

Bagnaia attempted to get to his feet after the crash, but he collapsed to the ground. Medics quickly arrived on the track to provide assistance.

Rushed to Hospital with Leg Injuries

After sustaining leg injuries, Bagnaia was immediately taken to the hospital for further treatment. The severity of his injuries is still being assessed.

Update on Bagnaia's Condition

MotoGP Medical Director Dr. Angel Charte provided an update on Bagnaia's condition, revealing that he had suffered severe polytrauma. He mentioned that a motorbike had run over Bagnaia's femoral and tibial area, causing injuries. Further tests, including a CAT scan, were necessary to determine the extent of the damage.

Leading the Moto GP Standings

Despite the incident, Bagnaia is currently leading the Moto GP standings by 50 points ahead of his teammate Jorge Martin. With five wins this season, he will be hoping that his injuries do not hinder his chances of defending his 2022 title.
