FORMULA One commentator Murray Walker has left a £11.7million fortune.
The voice of motorsport, who died aged 97 in March, bequeathed almost all his estate to wife Elizabeth, whom he married in 1959.
The couple had no children.
In his simple, two-page will, he also left £20,000 to a friend.
Walker, whose broadcasting career spanned more than 50 years, had wanted his fortune shared among numerous charities had his wife not survived him.
His breakneck “Go, go, go” catchphrase heralded the start of F1 races for decades but he was also known for his occasionally mangled phrases, or “Murrayisms”.
He had previously worked in advertising and came up with the famous slogan “Opal Fruits, made to make your mouth water”.
