Lewis Hamilton Speaks Out on Social Media After Formula One Disqualification

British racing driver Lewis Hamilton has broken his silence on social media following his disqualification from the recent Formula One race. Hamilton, who finished second behind Max Verstappen at the Circuit of the Americas in Texas, was later disqualified along with Ferrari's Charles Leclerc for running illegal floors in their cars.

Illegal Floors Lead to Disqualification

Hamilton and Leclerc were found to be in violation of FIA regulations during random spot checks after the race. The skidblock, or plank, which is designed to protect the bottom of the car, did not meet the minimum thickness requirement. This skidblock also produces the sparks seen on TV during races.

"Mood"

Following the race, Hamilton and Leclerc took to Instagram to share their disappointment. They posted a joint image with the caption "Mood," which has already garnered over two million likes.

Focusing on the Positives

Despite the disqualification, Hamilton remained positive about the progress made over the weekend. Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff acknowledged the challenges faced during the sprint weekend and emphasized the importance of learning from the experience.

Looking Ahead

Hamilton will be competing in the upcoming Mexican Grand Prix as he continues to chase Sergio Perez for second place in the championship standings. Currently, Hamilton trails Perez by 39 points.
