Mercedes Trials New Parts
The upcoming United States Grand Prix will be a crucial moment for Lewis Hamilton and his Mercedes team as they test out new parts in preparation for the 2024 Formula 1 season. Since losing the title to Max Verstappen in 2021, Mercedes has been playing catch up to Red Bull. With a combination of poor car design and questionable leadership, Mercedes has been working to make improvements. Mercedes boss Toto Wolff has made changes, including bringing back James Allison as technical director. This weekend's race will reveal whether the new parts will provide a much-needed boost for Hamilton.

Aside from testing new parts, Mercedes is also eager to secure second place in the constructors' championship. Currently leading Ferrari by 28 points, Mercedes hopes to show some progress by overtaking their rival team. Oliver Bearman's Test with Ferrari
In other news, British driver Oliver Bearman recently completed his first test for Ferrari. The 18-year-old Chelmsford native drove 400km around the Fiorano test track. He will also have the opportunity to drive the Ferrari-powered Haas VF-23 in the first free practice session for the Mexico City Grand Prix.
