Martin Brundle Snubbed by Shaquille O’Neal in Awkward Grid Walk Exchange

Grid Walk Drama

Formula One grid walks in the USA are always filled with interesting interactions between Martin Brundle and celebrities. However, ahead of the Las Vegas Grand Prix, Brundle was snubbed for an interview by none other than NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal.

Brundle's Attempt

As Brundle tried to get some interviews for Sky Sports F1, he approached a host of celebs in attendance, including David Beckham, Brad Pitt, Rihanna, and Veronika Rajek. But when he tried to interview Shaq, things took an awkward turn.

Shaq Refuses to Play Ball

Despite a member of the Red Bull crew giving the green light for an interview, Shaq did not cooperate. As Brundle tried to engage him, Shaq walked away, leaving the reporter frustrated. He even quipped, "I don't think he's up for it, I've wasted my long microphone cable."

Online Reactions

Fans online praised Brundle for his attempt and criticized Shaq for his unwillingness to talk. One fan called Brundle a "national treasure," while another said that celebrities shouldn't be on the grid unless they're willing to talk.

Awkward Grid Walks

This season alone, Brundle has had awkward exchanges with Cara Delevinge, Machine Gun Kelly, and Anthony Joshua. Previous years have also seen him struggle to get interviews with celebrities such as Pep Guardiola, Megan Thee Stallion, and Brad Pitt.

This season's F1 finale will take place at the Abu Dhabi GP next weekend.
