Max Verstappen's Father Opens Up

Max Verstappen's father, Jos, has revealed that he underwent heart surgery earlier this year. The Formula One legend, who has participated in over 100 races, shared that the surgery has given him a new perspective on life.

Surgery Kept Under Wraps

Jos Verstappen, 51, kept his surgery away from the public eye while his son was busy making history in the F1 championship. However, he has now chosen to speak out about his health issue, which has been successfully resolved thanks to the surgery.

Relief and Gratitude

In an interview with Dutch outlet Formule 1, Jos Verstappen expressed his relief and gratitude for the successful operation. He said, "It puts things into perspective and makes you appreciate what you have even more. I have a nice wife and two small children with whom I want to spend beautiful time with for as long as possible."

Max Verstappen's Record-Breaking Season

While his father was dealing with his health issue, Max Verstappen had an outstanding season in Formula One. The Red Bull star won the championship with ease, winning 19 out of 22 races and accumulating a remarkable 575 points. This surpasses the record he set last year by 121 points.

Unprecedented Winning Streak

Between May and September, Max Verstappen made history by winning ten consecutive Grands Prix, including a victory at the Italian GP. This achievement further solidified his status as one of the greatest drivers in the sport.
