Michael Schumacher’s wife reveals F1 legend ‘shows me how strong he is every day’ in touching first look at Netflix doc

HEARTFELT interviews with Michael Schumacher’s family have been revealed in the first trailer for a new Netflix documentary.

The film, titled SCHUMACHER, will be released on September 15 through the streaming platform.

Featuring in the documentary are the German’s wife, Corinna, and their two kids, Gina and Formula One racing driver Mick.

Also appearing will be Sebastian Vettel, Michael’s brother Ralf Schumacher and a host of figures who worked with the 52-year-old during his imperious career with Benetton and Ferrari.

The trailer opens with Schumacher himself, saying: “100 per cent perfection, I couldn’t live with anything lower.”

Previously unseen home videos and rarely-heard interviews will also feature in the documentary.

The film was made in collaboration with the legend’s family, with Schumacher himself still receiving treatment for a serious brain injury he suffered in a skiing accident almost eight years ago.

The trailer features Corinna saying: “I just felt that he is somebody special.

“I think that he is simply very strong mentally. Extremely strong.

“He still shows me how strong he is every day.”

Netflix have promised to show a different side to many fans’ impression of Schumacher as a ruthless racing driver, with a more personal introduction to the man who won seven world championships.

His son, Mick, is forging his own F1 career and is currently in his debut season with Haas.

In the trailer, he reveals: “When I look at him, I think, ‘I want to be like that’.
