Motorbike Racer Gary Vines Dies at 33

Tributes are pouring in after the tragic death of motorbike racer Gary Vines, who died following a crash during qualifying for the Manx Grand Prix.

Vines, a rider from Colchester, was involved in an accident at Ballagarey in Glen Vine during his first lap of the opening session. Emergency staff attended the scene and the session was paused.

Vines made his debut at the Manx Grand Prix in 2015 and achieved success early on, winning the Newcomers B Race. He continued to impress, earning a podium finish in the 2018 Lightweight Race and securing top ten finishes in the Classic TT.
