Giant Gators Invade Florida Golf Course

Monster Alligator on the Green

Golfers at a course in Sebring, Florida are facing a new hazard on the green – a monstrous 10-foot alligator! This giant gator has become quite the celebrity, even making appearances online. One local resident commented on Facebook, "I have lived in Florida all my life and that is the biggest one I have seen."

Not an Isolated Incident

Surprisingly, gator sightings on golf courses are not uncommon in the southern states. In 2016, a clip of a giant gator walking around the Buffalo Creek Golf Club in Florida went viral. The gator even had a name – Sherman. According to a YouTube viewer, "He walks across the golf course every day and never harms a soul."

Gators Crash PGA Tour Events

If you thought gators only stuck to the local courses, think again. They have been known to make guest appearances at PGA Tour events as well. At the 2016 Arnold Palmer Invitational in Orlando, Florida, Cody Gribble bravely guided a small gator off the course and back into the water. Fans couldn't help but comment on his bravery.
