Golf star Jon Rahm caught on hot mic live on TV in X-rated rant at The Open leaving viewers in shock

GOLF star Jon Rahm shocked viewers with his expletive laden reaction to missing a putt on the 10th hole.

Rahm, 28, was putting to make par but things didn’t quite go to plan.

Frustrations boiled over for Rahm at The Open yesterday

Rahm was putting to make par

And his frustration boiled over after missing

His shot looked to be good but swung out of the hole.

And he wasn’t too happy about it, shouting “F***!” as he saw his shot missed.

The incident was picked up on a hot mic, presumably there to pick up any crowd reaction to his putt.

And fans were quick to sympathise with Rahm, with many saying they had been there before.

One fan said: “I can oh so relate..”

While another wrote: “That was me, yesterday, three putting after being on a Par 3 in one. We’ve all been there Rahmbo.”

A third fan added: “I hear that a lot on the golf course!!!!”

While a fourth wrote: “Been there done that.”

A fifth wondered why commentators were so moved to apologise for the language, saying: “Why do we apologise for F-bombs in 2023!? Every golfer on earth can relate to this. This is normal behaviour.”

It’s been a frustrating few days for the Masters champion, with the Spaniard already having lashed out at photographers during the first round.

Rahm said there were too many members of the media following his marquee alongside Rory McIlroy and Justin Rose.

He lashed out and said: “I’m trying to walk and there’s way too many people in my way and I can’t go at my pace because they are in my way.

“Then I’m walking off 18 trying to deal with that unlucky moment… there’s somebody with a boom mic on my ass keeping up with Rory’s pace… that’s kind of the disregard that I existed.”

Rahm’s temperment is infamously short, with the Spaniard also having a run-in with photographers at the PGA Championship in May.

American Brian Harman currently leads the Open with a five shot lead, with home favourite Tommy Fleetwood trailing by five shots.

Five simple exercises to improve your game of golf

Golf is a popular sport worldwide. You will need to practice hard to be a good golfer. Exercising is the best way for improving your game. At least 2 hours should be spent playing golf each week. However, you don’t always find enough time to play golf. These five simple exercises can help you improve your golf swing.

  1. Start from the bottom – Stand straight up, keep your back straight, hold the club straightly, bend your knees slightly, and begin swinging the club. Concentrate on the target. This exercise helps you get into position before hitting the ball.
  2. Get your balance right – Make sure that you stand straight, keep your feet together, and make sure that your weight is evenly distributed throughout your body. When you hit the ball, your weight should shift forward towards the front leg.
  3. Bend your knees- Place your hands on the hips to help you bend your knees. Next, exhale and take a deep inhale. Then bend your knees while you breathe. This will allow your lower back to follow you as you swing the golf club.
  4. Relax your shoulders. Instead, let them swing the club free. This will let you generate power, speed, and force without needing to exert too much force.
  5. Focus on your target – Concentrate on your target instead of looking down at the ball. Concentrate on your target. Be aware that if the ball is in front of you, it will be difficult to see where you are wrong.
