A millionaire golf pro, Francis McGuirk, has been accused of setting fire to his marital home while his dog was inside. The incident occurred in Sandwich, Kent, where McGuirk lived with his wife and three teenage daughters. Firefighters were able to rescue the dog, named Dottie, and McGuirk was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation and burns. McGuirk has since been charged with arson and is set to appear before Margate magistrates' court on November 16.
