How can I improve my score on golf?

  1. Practice more, play less. If you want to get better at something, practice more. To play too often is a sign that you are developing bad habits.
  2. Feel good when you play. There are days when you just don’t feel like playing. Don’t force your self to do things you don’t like. Instead, find new ways to make playing golf enjoyable.
  3. Pause. Golfers take breaks throughout the round to stretch, walk, eat lunch, and so on. Taking breaks helps your body relax and keeps you focused throughout the round.
  4. Get water! It is easy for people to lose track of the number of drinks they have had while out on the courses. Be sure to drink enough water, so you don’t get dehydrated. Hydration is key to feeling energized and ready to go for the next round.

  7. Get warm. Warm up for five minutes by walking, jogging or running before hitting your first shot. Then, you should be able to move freely and feel limber.
  8. Keep your head down. It’s important that you keep your eyes focused on the ball when you tee-off. It’s important to not focus on the ball or watch where it falls. Instead, keep your eyes on the hole.
  9. Correct form is important when you are trying to move. Different people might interpret the same thing as proper form. You want to avoid hitting the target. You should instead aim to hit the ball in the middle of the club face.
  10. The process is what matters. Although there are many factors that influence a successful golf swing you should be able to focus on the process. You can relax your grip if your hands are slipping. If balance is difficult for you, then work on improving your posture.
