How To

Five Easy Steps to Lower Golf Scores

  1. Start with the right equipment. You’re going to want to invest in some good clubs and balls. Learn how to golf from a professional. Ask around at the local driving school if there isn’t anyone you know who plays. They might even give you a free lesson just because they like seeing new faces!
  2. Practice makes perfect. It’s obvious that practice is key to improving your game. It doesn’t really matter if you are playing with friends or solo; practicing is crucial. And when you do start practicing, make sure you keep track of your progress. You can keep track of all the things you do, so you can see which areas you are making progress and which ones you still need to improve.
  3. Play more. At first, you might feel that you spend too much on your golf gear. This will make it difficult to get out there enough. Once you get into the swing of things, you will find that you actually enjoy playing. Next, increase your playing frequency. Try to play three or more times per week (or every day). That means one round of 18 holes during the weekend and two rounds of 9 holes during the week.
  4. Be sure to eat right. Many people think that they are doing their body a favor by not eating breakfast or having lunch after work. This isn’t healthy. You should eat something before you leave your house. You should ideally eat small snacks that contain protein, carbohydrates, fat, and fiber. You can also have a light meal made up of lean proteins, vegetables, and other healthy foods when you get there.
  5. Keep hydrated. Drinking lots of fluids helps prevent dehydration, which can lead to headaches and muscle aches. Additionally, water helps to keep your body hydrated which is essential for peak performance.
