Deal with LIV Golf Tour
In June, the PGA reached an agreement to merge with the Saudi-backed LIV Golf Tour. The two parties set a deadline at the end of the year to finalize the deal, with the possibility of extending the deadline if necessary.
Criticism of LIV Players and CEO
McIlroy has been critical of players joining the LIV Golf Tour, describing it as "taking the easy way out." He has also frequently criticized LIV CEO Greg Norman.
