RYDER CUP fans are convinced that former Team Europe legend Nick Faldo has 'superpowers' after a bizarre incident during a live interview on Sky Sports.
A Spooky Moment
The four-time Ryder Cup winner and former Masters champion was discussing Europe's impressive 16½-11½ victory in Rome over the weekend when the strange incident occurred.
Faldo, 66, was talking about the aftermath of the intense golfing drama and rivalries, saying, "You watch, wallop. It won't just be the alcohol. Emotionally, it will be a serious wallop, they'll be like jellyfish tomorrow morning."
A Mysterious Fall
Just as Faldo mentioned the alcohol giving the European players a 'wallop', a person walking across the Marco Simone course in the background suddenly and unexpectedly fell over.
The individual appeared to have stumbled for no apparent reason, as their friends looked back in confusion. Although they quickly got back on their feet and continued walking, supporters at home couldn't let the incident go unnoticed.
'Superpowers' or Coincidence?
Viewers quickly took to social media to joke about Faldo's seeming unbelievable force, with one saying, "Listen to what he's saying and watch what happens in the background. Nick Faldo apparently has superpowers…" Another added, "He may be 'dull as a potato' but he has special powers."
Faldo himself joined in on the fun, sharing the viral video with a series of emojis, including a laughing face, six beers, and a downward arrow.
Celebrations and Unusual Spectacles
The European team celebrated their victory with plenty of beer and jubilant scenes. Viktor Hovland posed for a photo with 16 European Wags, while European fans went wild near the 16th green when Tommy Fleetwood won a crucial hole against Rickie Fowler. This prompted a Colonel Sanders lookalike to run onto the green and jump into a lake, followed by dozens of other European fans.
