SCOTT JAMIESON kept his nerve to win the inaugural Nelson Mandela Championship
in South Africa.
The Scot, 29, beat Englands Steve Webster and Spaniard Edoardo de la Riva in
a play-off after the rain-hit European Tours season opener was reduced to
just 36 holes.
He shot a second-round 57 on the Royal Durban course, which was reduced to a
par-65 because of saturated fairways, to take the 96,000 first prize.
Jamieson, whose par four on the 18th second time round pipped Webster, was not
in the top 60 after his opening-round 66.
He admitted: Starting the day I didnt think Id be standing here holding a
trophy.
