How To

How to Improve My Putting Skills?

As you practice your putting game, there are many things you can do to make yourself a better putter. You should first get good instruction from someone who is experienced. Check out our article on how to find instructors who are willing to teach you golf. Ask them if they offer private lessons once you have found someone you like. Look at their schedule carefully to make sure you don’t book lessons that conflict with one another.

One of these pro shops can help you rent clubs: Golf Galaxy, TaylorMade and Titleist.

Next, you need to start practicing after receiving instruction. There are two ways you can go about this. The first is to buy some putters and start practicing hitting the balls into the holes. This is great as you can choose between different types of putters (long, mid, and wedge), depending on which shots you’re most comfortable with. But, unless your equipment is expensive, you will not be able practice enough to improve your putting skills.

Playing mini games online is another way to practice. Some websites let you play against players from around the globe, while others allow you to just practice your short game. Putt-Putt is a game where you need to hit a ball in a hole. TopGolf. StrokePlay. Wii Sports Club.

Once you have enough practice, you can move on the next step of improving your putting. That would be working on your technique. This will require you to improve your technique in three areas: grip, alignment, and stance.

Stance is the distance you are from the ball when you approach it. The most common mistake beginner’s make is to be too close. To avoid glancing at the ball, keep your body far away until you move forward. Your feet must be about shoulder width apart with your knees slightly bent.

You should have your hands open and relaxed. You shouldn’t clench your fists or hold anything else in front of your chest. Instead, place your hands over your shoulders.

Your arms should remain straight but not locked down. They should stay loose throughout the entire putting stroke.

Alignment is the amount of rotation your hips make as you move through the shot. It is difficult to align your hips properly because most people rotate their hips excessively. Your knees will slightly bend when you aim for the shot. Your hips will turn towards the target as you swing through the shot.

Grip refers the position of your fingers on a clubface. Many people have difficulty grasping the club properly. Your index finger should be on the lower edge of your face when you are addressing the putt. Your middle finger should be on the top edge. Your ring finger should be on the shaft. Your pinky should be above and to the right of the handle.

A new putter may be an option. Although all putters are not created equal, you may find that a new model can help improve your game.
