Woods played in the Masters earlier this month but withdrew after the third round, citing a recurrence of plantar fasciitis.

The problem also forced him to sit out of the Hero World Challenge but did play at the Genesis Invitational in February.

But he will now be sidelined again as he starts rehab, with no clear idea of how long it will take.
