Tiger Woods to get his own docuseries like Michael Jordan’s The Last Dance which could come out at same time as Masters

TIGER WOODS is set to get his own docuseries like Michael Jordan’s The Last Dance – which could come out at same time as The Masters.

The golf legend, 44, was as notorious off the course as he was talented on it, with a string of controversies during his illustrious career.

And now it has been revealed Woods will get his own two-part, four-hour documentary on TV network HBO – set to be released around the time of The Masters in November.

That is according to Armen Keteyian, the co-author behind bestselling 2018 biography, Tiger Woods.

Keteyian told the Burst Your Bubble podcast: “I can tell you that it’s scheduled to come out in the fall [autumn].

“Don’t be surprised if it airs right around the Masters in November.

“If you are HBO, that’s the smartest and best place to do it.”

He added: “I can tell you this, I have seen it now several times, including this morning when I watched the final two hours.

“It’s a fabulous job.”

Woods famously won last year’s Masters to clinch his 15th major title in a shock victory after an 11-year drought and a number of severe injuries, including needing surgery on his back.

The American – who is currently dating Erica Henman – will be defending his title come November.

And fans will be hoping to catch a glimpse of his action-packed life on and off the golf course – much like in Jordan’s Netflix hit show The Last Dance.

The ten-part series on MJ’s final season at the Chicago Bulls has proved incredibly popular amongst not only basketball fans, but sport fans in general.

A number of secrets were revealed by former players, coaches and journalists of the time – as well as first-hand insight from Jordan himself.

Golf fans will be desperate to see if dad-of-two Woods’ proposed docuseries will be as in-depth.

During his career, Woods has been rocked by a sex scandal that wrecked his marriage and arrested for being behind the wheel of a car with a mind-numbing cocktail of drugs amongst other indiscretions.

And it was recently revealed Woods turned to Jordan for advice on “how to pick up women”.

Woods and MJ were close friends, sharing the honour of being the greatest ever player in their respective sport, while also battling through a sex scandal while at the peak of their powers.

The golf superstar’s life began to unravel in 2009 when he was exposed as a serial adulterer and chased out of his home by furious ex-wife, Elin, before he crashed his car into a tree.

Woods was linked to a succession of porn stars and cocktail waitresses and checked himself into a clinic to be treated for sex addiction.

Tiger Woods’ doc could air around the same time as The Masters

That followed an excruciating press conference when he owned up his string of affairs, with his mum, Tida, sitting in the front row.

In 2017, Woods was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence – with it later revealed he had taken a cocktail of drugs.

Woods has two children, Sam Alexis and Charlie Axel, born in 2007 and 2009 respectively, from his marriage with Elin Nordegren.

It remains to be seen what will be covered in the proposed docuseries, with Keteyian tight-lipped on what is – and isn’t – featured.
