TOM BRADY holed an amazing shot from the fairway to win £80,000 from Brooks Koepka – and silence the fans who slammed his “atrocious” game.
The NFL icon – who has more Super Bowl rings than any other player – was doing partner Phil Mickelson no favours in their £8million charity game against Tiger Woods and Peyton Manning.
Brady snap hooked his first tee shot, duffed a chip a yard in front of him, thinned another through the green and hit a shocking shank off the tee when offered £40,000 by NBA legend Charles Barkley just to hit the green.
But the former New England Patriots hero put it all behind him when he secured an amazing hole out from around 110 yards out on the seventh hole.
Brady, who now plays for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, went to thank wife Gisele and their children after the amazing hole-out.
Four-time Major champ Koepka had offered Brady £80,000 just to make a par on the front nine.
When he holed out, Koepka tweeted to Brady: “That’s why you’re the GOAT.”
And his birdie was more than enough to pocket the cash for charity, with Koepka then offering him another £80,000 if he parred one of the next two holes.
But it had been a totally different story before that, with viewers ripping into Brady’s game and suggesting he was far worse than his eight handicap.
One said: “Brady is atrocious at golf. Dear lord.”
Another posted: “Tom Brady is horrific at golf.”
A fellow user wrote: “‘Let’s live tweet Tom Brady playing golf’ is the worst part of the pandemic.”
And another comment read: “Watching @TomBrady potentially playing the worst round of golf I’ve seen on live television. Makes me feel so much better about my golf game now!”
