TOMMY FLEETWOOD was mocked for his Where’s Wally? look – as his game went missing at the US Open.

England’s Ryder Cup hero was tipped by many for a big week at brutal Winged Foot in New York.

Fans were quick to pick up on Fleetwood’s Where’s Wally look

Who wore it better?

But world No15 Fleetwood failed to build on his impressive tie for third in last week’s Portugal Masters during the first round.

Fleetwood now faces a fight to make the cut as he hunts for his first Major title after finishing runner-up in last year’s Open.

And if fans’ observations were anything to go by, it was down to his stark red and white Nike polo.

One said: “Tommy with the Where’s Wally look!”

Another posted: “Tommy Fleetwood has his Where’s Wally collection on.”

Another viewer tweeted: “What is Tommy Fleetwood wearing? Where’s Wally eat your heart out.”

Fleetwood will have to turn it round to contend in this US Open

Fleetwood, 29, started on the tenth and bogeyed the difficult 215-yard par-3 13th before dropping three in a row from the 15th.

A brilliant birdie on the exacting 18th steadied the ship but another bogey on the third – his 12th – dropped Fleetwood to four over.

A mistake from the fairway on his penultimate hole caused another dropped shot before he just missed a monster eagle putt on his last – the par-5 ninth – before signing for a four-over 74.

It was in stark contrast to former Ryder Cup team-mate and new dad Rory McIlroy, who burst out of the gates with a three-under 67.

The same could not be said for Tiger Woods though, whose disastrous double bogey six at the last left him well down the leaderboard on three over and, like Fleetwood, fighting to make the weekend.
