Watch as Joel Sjoholm rides a BOAT to play his shot from an island in middle of water on European Tour

JOEL SJOHOLM had a round of golf he’ll never FORE-get… after being forced to take a boat to play his shot from an island.

The Swede was aiming to finish inside the top 20 of the Hero Open at the Forest of Arden on the final day.

Sjoholm had to jump on a boat to reach his ball

The Swede almost took a tumble into the water

But his chances took a major hit when he arrived at the 17th hole.

Sjoholm’s second shot was pushed to the right of the green and instead landed on Henderson’s Island.

Opting to play the ball where it lies, it was far from plane sailing when he was forced to jump in a rickety old boat to reach it.

After an initial wobble and leaving his caddy behind, Sjoholm used a rope to pull himself to his ball where he was met with his next challenge.

He was then forced to pick up the advertising signs which looked a difficult task in itself.

He then had a battle with the advertising signs…
Sjoholm finally reached his ball on the island
Sjoholm finally made it back to his caddy

Sjoholm finally managed to scramble to his ball before pitching it back into play and getting back on the boat to safety.

He was forced to settle for a bogey ending his top 20 hopes with the player being forced to settle for a tie of 22nd.

The round was just a memorable for Brit’s Sam Horsfield who picked up his first career win after ending the tournament 18-under par.
